Two Licking residents face potential county charges after ammunition was found in their house.

A 44-year-old Licking woman and her 28-year-old son were arrested by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department on Feb. 24 following an investigation of a domestic dispute at their Iron Mine Road residence.

The investigating officer stated in his report that the mother told him her son had cut her couch with a knife after becoming angry when she told him he had to move out.

While speaking to the mother inside the home, the officer observed in plain view two boxes of .38- caliber ammunition. The mother and the son had both been previously convicted of felony charges, so they were both placed under arrest for unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon.

They were taken to the Texas County Jail, and a report was sent to the county prosecutor for charges.
