The Houston Tigers beat Mountain Grove 59-53 Friday night for their fourth victory of the season.
The win eclipsed Houston’s total from the previous season. It was also the Tigers’ first conference victory of the season
On Tuesday, Curry Van Horn scored 23 points and Rodney Preheim added 14 in a 75-66 loss at Thayer.
The Tigers (4-13) trailed 28-21 after the first quarter and by six points at the half.
Van Horn and Devin Coulter hit three 3-pointers apiece.
