Military veteran

Albert Leslie Gann Sr., 59, died Friday, March 9, 2012.

He was born April 12, 1952, in Licking, son of David Thomas and Susan Ellen (York) Gann. He married Loretta Higgins Gann and later married Virginia Davy Gann.

He was a disabled Army veteran. He owned a saw mill in Licking before moving to California. He returned to Missouri recently to be new family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Albert Leslie Gann Jr.; three sisters, Donna Caballero, Letha Leona Mallett and Linda Sue Gann; and two brothers, Hubert and Willard Gann.

Survivors include 10 siblings, Gene Gann, Ralph Gann, Nick Gann, Ernest Gann, Larry Gann, Gloria Lurvey, Vickey Stackhouse, Tammy Daniel, Larry Macke and Lucy Wolforth; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services were Tuesday, March 13, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Cook officiating. Burial was in Williams Cemetery.
