George Dale Honeycutt, 65, died Thursday, March 8, 2012.
He was born March 23, 1946, in Hartshorn, son of George Washington and Beulah Evelyn Stark Honeycutt. He married Theda Murfin.
He graduated from Summersville High School. He was baptized at Hartshorn as a young man and was a member of the Nixa Church of Christ at his death.
When he returned from serving his country in the late 1960s, he and his wife made their home in Ozark, where they raised their two sons. He worked as a carpenter and raised cattle. He loved training dogs, working with horses and coon hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Billy Honeycutt; and several extended family members.
Survivors include two sons, Stacey Honeycutt of Ozark and Donald of Richmond; two grandsons; a brother, Bob Honeycutt of Eldon; two sisters, Ilene Platts of Summersville and Margaret Ann Tuttle of West Plains; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were Monday, March 12, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tom Dennis officiating. Burial was in Summersville City Cemetery.
