The Houston Police Department reports that several citations have recently been issued to people driving while intoxicated and a couple more to Houston residents who were asked by acquaintances to leave their residence but refused.
The following are summaries of matters recently dealt with by Houston police:
––James D. Wakenight, 31, and Amber N. Schivitz, 19, both of Route 1 Box 122 in Summersville, were each issued citations for stealing under $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift items from the Houston Walmart.
––Arlon L. Moore, 55, of 17100 Tiffany Drive, Lot M, in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and driving while license revoked after a traffic stop at about 6 p.m. at U.S. 63 and Brushy Creek Road.
An officer made the stop after observing erratic movement from the green Buick passenger car Moore was driving. After making contact with him, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted.
––Judd E. Russell, 41, of 534 Ozark St. in Houston, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after a 56-year-old male neighbor reported that Russell had refused to leave his home.
––Kari D. Morgan Young, 24, of 8447 Mineral Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated (drugs) following a traffic stop at about 745 p.m. on U.S. 63.
An officer made the stop after observing the black Oldsmobile SUV she was driving stop at a green light. After making contact with the driver, the officer determined that she was under the influence of multiple prescription medications. Field sobriety tests were conducted.
––Latosha L. Cox, 21, of Mountain View, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on right half of roadwayand failure to exhibit insurance identification card after a traffic stop at about 11:35 p.m. on U.S. 63.
An officer made the stop after observing erratic movement from the green Ford Explorer Cox was driving. After making contact with Cox, the officer saw a beer can in her vehicle and smelled alcohol. Field sobriety tests were conducted.
––Shawna M. Walton, 30, of 7656 Barry Lane in Houston, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing after a female resident of a Hawthorne Street residence reported that Walton had been asked to leave her home and had refused, which caused a disturbance.
––Tracy L. Arbogast, 42, of 1120 Hawthorne Street in Houston, was issued a citation for operating a vehicle with an expired license number plate after an officer observed expired plates on the maroon Pontiac van Arbogast was driving at about 6 p.m. on U.S. 63.
