The following are matters dealt with last week by the sheriff’s department:

March 13

––Arlan L. Moore, 55, of 17100 Tiffany Drive, Lot M, was issued a citation for third-degree assault after being involved in a fight with his 44-year-old male neighbor.

Moore allegedly punched the neighbor in the face during the scuffle, which was witnessed by another man and woman.

March 15

––A man called at about 5 a.m. to report that an unknown car was parked on his Highway MM property.

An investigating officer made contact with the driver, a 65-year-old man who was lost. The man’s family was contacted, and someone came and picked him up.

The man reportedly had memory loss.

––A hospice representative called to report that 10 hydrocodone pills were missing from her male client’s Buck Hollow Road residence at Houston.

The representative stated that the client’s daughter also lives at the location, but she had denied any knowledge of the missing medication.

––James L. Riden, 53, of 19411 Iron Mine Road at Licking, was issued a citation for first-degree sexual misconduct after reportedly making a sexual advance toward a 16-year-old Cabool girl.

March 16

––The Madison County Sheriff’s Department requested a check on a woman with a warrant who was thought to be at a Peacock Lane residence.

An investigating officer was unable to locate her.

March 17

––A 29-year-old Houston man called to report that two tires had been slashed on his vehicle while it was parked at a business in Cabool.

The man stated that he suspected a 33-year-old Cabool man with whom he had been having problems.

March 18

––A 33-year-old Licking woman came to the TCSD office and reported that on March 10 two rings, one valued at $100 and one valued at $50, were stolen from a cigarette pack they were in that she had sitting on her front porch.

The woman stated she suspected her sister and brother-in-law.

––An officer reported that an 18-year-old Plato man was suspected of having written several fraudulent checks on the account of a 48-year-old Plato man, and stolen two pistols, two electronic items and a combat knife from him.

The total value was reportedly $1,120.

A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor.

––An officer reported that Lloyd R. Hill, 53, of 11998 Highway 38 at Houston, was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license following a 2 p.m. traffic stop March 16 on Highway 17.

An officer made the stop after observing the tan Lincoln Hill was driving fail to stop at a posted stop sign at Highways 38 and 17. A computer check revealed that Hill’s license was suspended.
