An attempted break-in last week at a home in Cabool was reportedly thwarted by the 62-year-old man who lives there.
The man called the Texas County Sheriff’s Department on March 7 to report that someone was breaking into his house. He told an investigating officer that a woman had broken a window and was half way inside when he stopped her and called authorities.
After being detained by the man until an officer arrived, the suspect – a 44-year-old Cabool woman – was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail.
The officer reported that he did observe a broken window, and a probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor.
