Military veteran

Paul Glen Burch, 89, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at his home in Washington.

He was born March 21, 1922, in Houston. He and Mae Selby were married Jan. 4, 1946.

He moved to Washington in 1941. He was a combat medic with the Army during World War II and served in Italy and Africa.

He worked for the Milwaukee Railroad and was a journeyman machinist. He retired from Tacoma Boat in 1984.

He enjoyed gardening, bluegrass music, his John Deer tractor and his family.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mae; a daughter, Vicki Helm of Tacoma, Wash.; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Erma Bacon of Houston.

Services were Monday, March 26, at Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Puyallup, Wash.

Donations may be made to Northwest Harvest or the Boys & Girls Club of choice.
