Louise Wilkinson, DO, has joined the Texas County Memorial Hospital emergency department as a full-time physician.
Wilkinson has been working regularly in a part-time capacity at TCMH since December 2007. She will begin full-time duties in April.
“TCMH is proud to employ full-time physicians in our emergency department, and we are very pleased that Dr. Wilkinson has decided to join TCMH for full-time employment, too,” said Wes Murray, chief executive officer at TCMH.
Wilkinson joins Dr. Jeff Kerr, Dr. Lynn Hauenstein and Dr. Randal Qualls, also full-time physicians in the TCMH ER. Each physician works 14 twelve-hour shifts in the ER each month.
“Utilizing full-time employed physicians in our ER provides continuity of care for our patients,” Murray explained. “Our physicians are very familiar with TCMH and the ancillary services available to patients in the TCMH ER as well as having strong working relationships with the emergency department staff and the members of the TCMH medical staff.”
Wilkinson graduated from medical school at AT Still University in Kirksville. She did an internship at Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center.
