Sales tax revenue was up in Houston during the latest monthly distribution.

Houston’s sales tax revenue is nearly unchanged in the first two months of the year, the Missouri Department of Revenue reports.

An increase in February closed the gap for the year. The tally from a one-cent sales tax totaled $54,505, which was up $8,588 from a year ago. For the year, the total is up $707 on $105,573 of revenue.

Two quarter-cent sales taxes totaled about $13,000 each. For the year, they are nearly unchanged.

An eighth-cent sales tax for debt payment on a fire truck totaled $6,477.
