Sales tax revenue collected by Texas County merchants shot upward in the latest monthly reporting period, erasing a gap in the first month of the year, according to the Missouri Department of Revenue.
Revenue from three half-cent sales taxes totaled about $87,100 each. That’s up about $21,700 each.
For the year, more than $146,000 has been collected, nearly unchanged from the same period in 2011.
