Meth precursors were found during a county investigation Friday on a Cabool road.

Two persons face drug charges following their arrest Tuesday in Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Raymond D. Smotherman, 46, Birch Tree, was arrested on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver – methamphetamine, driving while suspended, following too closely and a misdemeanor Carter County warrant. He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held.

James E. Cooper, 45, Mountain View, was arrested on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver – methamphetamine. He was released pending filing of formal charges.
