A Houston woman claims she was injured Monday night after another woman inside a vehicle grabbed her and sped off, causing the woman to hit her head on the roadway.
Houston Police Chief Jim McNiell said authorities were called at 10:20 p.m. to the corner of Grand Avenue and Cedar Street for a report of a woman hit by a vehicle. The woman, who McNiell described as having blood on her face, claimed another woman had grabbed her arm as she drove away in a vehicle, causing her to crash onto the pavement.
McNiell said his department contacted the Texas County Sheriff’s Department for assistance. Deputy Zach Jones located the suspect at her Highway B residence and received a statement.
McNiell said a report has been forwarded to the Texas County Prosecutor for review.
