A golf tournament is planned to benefit the Summersville Community Center.

The Houston golf team finished fourth among eight teams at Tuesday’s meet in Willow Springs.

The Tigers shot a combined 180 as a team. Jacob Hall and Ryan Bowlin each fired 43s, followed by Ty Albrecht (46), Lowell Tune (48) and Dalton Hale (56).

West Plains won the meet with a 157. The Zizzers were followed by Ava and Salem (175), Houston (180), Willow Springs (182), West Plains #2 (182), Licking (183) and Mountain Grove (195).

Houston’s JV team consisting of Cheston Malam, Jon Rowen and Jacob Kelley shot a 40 in scramble.

Last week at Salem, the Tigers shot a 184 to finish second by one stroke.

Salem won the match with a 184. Licking finished third at 197, followed by Steelville at 224. Cabool’s team was disqualified.

Hall and Bowlin each fired 42 to finish tied for second. Licking’s Ian Barnes won medalist honors with a 38.

Other scores for Houston were: Tune (45), Albrecht (56) and Cheston Malam (65).
