The Missouri Department of Conservation responded to an incident in which one Hartshorn man shot another while the two were turkey hunting at about 6:40 a.m. Friday in Shannon County near Hartshorn.
According to MDC district supervisor Aaron Pondrom, David Bradley, 28, was shot one time by John Howell, 68, while both men were hunting in the Sunklands Conservation Area.
Bradley was transported for treatment to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Pondrom said the two men were not hunting together and that investigation of the case continues.
EARLIER: Authorities were called at about 6:43 a.m. Friday to a report of a hunting-related shooting at Hartshorn.
First responders were called to Highway K and Road 360, where a 28-year-old man was reported shot.
