The Houston tennis team was swept 9-0 last Thursday in a home match with Richland.

The Tigers lost their top four singles matches 8-2 and were defeated 8-1 in the Nos. 5 and 6 matchups.

“Richland is a very talented senior oriented team,” HHS coach John Jordan said. “We are a very young inexperienced team. Most are putting in extra time after practice and on Saturday but with those extra efforts we will continue to get better.”

Alexis Adey won her JV singles match 6-3 and Kayla Shriver was victorious 6-4.
