Houston police officers handled several calls during the last week.

The following are matters recently dealt with by Houston police:

March 14

––Tyler A. Selby, 20, of 5750 U.S. 63 in Houston, and Eric M. Shea, 17, of 11229 Pettis Lane in Plato, were each issued citations for peace disturbance by fighting after being involved in a scuffle in the lobby of McDonald’s at about 5:15 p.m.

An employee saw the two hit each other. The fight was reportedly over a girl, according to a report.

March 31

––Ashley S. Scott, 21, of 720 Cherry St., Apt. C-3, in Summersville, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift several items from Walmart at about 8:30 p.m.

April 1

––Matthew M. Storm, 39, of 220 Maple St. in Licking, was issued a citation for driving with expired license plates after a traffic stop at about 11:30 a.m. on U.S. 63.

April 2

––Benjamin J. Foster, 18, of 777 Highway 17, Apt. 7, in Houston, was arrested for having an active Texas County warrant for minor visibly intoxicated.

An officer made the arrest at about 9:15 p.m. after observing Foster sitting at a picnic table at Emmett Kelly Park and knowing he had a warrant.

––Katie B. Weldon, 19, of Butte, Mont., was issued a citation for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia after a search of the car she and a 21-year-old man were parked in behind Walmart at about 10:15 a.m.

An officer was dispatched to the location for a different reason, and conducted the search by request of store management after observing the car and its two occupants. A management representative reportedly stated the car had been seen in several locations around the store throughout the morning.

April 3

––Marney L. Jordan, 59, of 10913 Bell Road in Success, was issued a citation for stealing less than $500 after being caught attempting to shoplift three packs of dog treats from Dollar General.

April 5

––Kelly D. Williams, 33, of 209 E. Pine St., in Houston, was arrested for having an active Texas County warrant charging her with stealing under $500.

An officer made the arrest at the state probation office after being informed that Williams was there and had the warrant. She was taken to the Texas County Jail.
