A Houston teenager was injured Saturday night after a vehicle struck a deer on U.S. 63 south of Simmons.
Tpr. S.J. Crewse said a northbound 1999 Dodge driven by Monica L. Millard, 38, struck the animal.
A passenger, Alexcis M. Sisic, 14, sustained minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital. 
Crewse said both were wearing seat belts when the accident occurred about seven miles northeast of Cabool. The vehicle had minor damage, he said.
