Texas County sales tax revenue completed the first quarter of the year down compared to the same period a year ago, the Missouri Department of Revenue reports.
The tally from three half-cent sales taxes was about $90,600 each in March. That’s down about $4,600 on each.
For the year, nearly $237,000 has been collected on each. That’s down about $4,400 on each tax from the same period a year ago.
The taxes are used for debt repayment on the county justice center, maintenance and general operations.
