The Houston High School tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision Monday to Mountain View-Liberty.
The schools split the three singles matches. Liberty won two of the three doubles matches.
Houston’s top three singles players were all victorious. Austin Bathon won 8-2 in No. 1 singles, Randy Barker was victorious 8-4 at No. 2 and Chris Moore won his No. 3 match 8-3.
In doubles play, the team of Bathon and Barker won 8-3.
Houston lost 9-0 last Thursday at Willow Springs and was defeated 9-0 last Tuesday at Rolla.
JUNIOR VARSITY: Patience Clinton won her singles match 6-1 Monday against Liberty.
In doubles play, the teams of Clinton and Madison Bonebrake and Aaron Stilley and Haley Kelley each won 7-5.
