Chester Lee Thomas Jr., 66, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at his home in New Madrid.

He was born Sept. 17, 1945, in Fort Gordon, Ga., son of Chester Lee and Wilma Imagine Goodman Thomas.

He served in the Army and Air Force for many years. He worked for Brown Shoe Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis Paul Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Thomas of New Madrid; four sons, Jarrett Lee Thomas of Springfield, Tracy Hill of New Madrid, Jimmy Hulshof of Holts Summitt and Richard David Hulshof of Cordovia, Tenn.; five daughters, Shannon Lea Thomas Harris of Houston, Brittnee Noel Thomas of Fulton, Sondra Lyn Mulvey of Festus and Mischell Villa and Carmen Lynn Beck of Holts Summit; a sister, Judy Mae Thomas of Wentzville; five grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Services were Friday, April 20, at New Life Ministries in New Madrid with the Rev. Scott Sutton officiating. Services were under the direction of DeLisle Funeral Home of Portageville.
