Sales tax revenue collected by merchants in Texas County fell about 18 percent from the same monthly period a year ago, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.
The tally from three half-cent sales taxes was about $58,000 each. That’s down about $13,100 from the same period a year ago. For the year, more than $294,000 has been collected on each. That’s down about 5.6 percentage points from the same period a year ago.
