Dollie Mae McKee Buckner, 89, died Monday, May 7, 2012, at her home.
She was born May 1, 1923, daughter of John and Mary Coffman McKee. She and in a Jesse “Jack” Vernon Buckner were married Feb. 6, 1943.
She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age. She remained faithful to The Old Country Church, where she enjoyed singing and listening to gospel and blue grass music. She worked at HD Lee Company and Rawlings, where she made many friends.
She loved being surrounded by family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; a brother, Herbert McKee; two sisters, Edna Buckner and Lydia Garrett; a son, Vernon Buckner; and two daughters, Faye Cook and Linda Mae Buckner.
Survivors include four sons, Herbert Buckner, Gary Buckner, Wayne Buckner and Dean Buckner; two daughters, Mary Jane Sullins and Pat Sullins;23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were Friday, May 11, at The Old Country Church at Craddock with Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in Craddock Cemetery under the direction of Evan Funeral Home.
