Janet Lee Toelaer, 56, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in Springfield.
She was born April 20, 1956, in Mountain Grove, daughter of Everett and DeElda Portrey Lipscomb.
She grew up in the Cabool and Tyrone areas. She attended a one-room school her first year of school before going to Houston Schools.
She moved to St. Louis, where she worked and raised her three children, Amy, John and Matthew.
She enjoyed traveling, especially to the Florida Keys. She was a seamstress, cake decorator and fixed many things. She was known for her sense of humor. She loved her children and family.
She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister, Carla.
Survivors include her mother, DeElda of Houston; a daughter, Amy Sandridge of Athens, Alab.; two sons, John Toelaer of Athens, Alab., and Matthew Toelaer of Houston; two brothers, Roy Lipscomb and Eddie Lipscomb of Ashland; and a sister, Vickie Gablesberger of Columbia.
Services were Saturday May 19, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Burial was in Cabool City Cemetery.
