Two men were each issued citations for peace disturbance by fighting for their roles in an incident last week at an Ozark Street residence in Houston.
Cited by the Houston Police Department were Tommy E. Wyatt, 56, of 802 East 16th St., in Mountain Grove, and Judd E. Russell, 41, of 534 Ozark St. in Houston. The two apparently became involved in a verbal and physical altercation at 9:30 p.m. May 7 that began when Wyatt was receiving a delivered pizza at the front door of a home at the same time a large group of people were walking by, including Russell and a 14-year-old boy.
The boy reportedly said something regarding pizza that Wyatt took offense to and a scuffle resulted. The boy was also reportedly involved in the fight, and was referred to the county juvenile office.
The following are other matters recently dealt with by Houston police:
––Ashley D. Bolden, 23, of 1283 John St., in Houston, as issued a citation for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 8:10 p.m.
An officer made the stop after observing Bolden driving a blue Ford van and already being aware her license was suspended.
––Gale L. Parrish, 21, of 8205 Northview Lane, Lot 31, in Houston, was issued citations for driving with a suspended license and failure to show proof of insurance after a traffic stop at about 8 p.m. on Walnut Street.
An officer made the stop after observing car license plates on the blue Chevrolet pickup Parrish was driving.
––Mariah J. Gaither, 19, of 14076 Highway 32 in Success, was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at about midnight on First Street in Houston.
An officer observed the silver Dodge truck Gaither was driving traveling northbound without its headlights on.
After making contact with Gaither, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. She was taken to the Texas County Jail and then released to an adult.
––Kodey L. Campbell, 18, of 8148 Morton Road in Houston, was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption after an incident at about 8:30 p.m.
After a call was received from a U.S. 63 restaurant indicating that two males had been in a pickup truck at the drive-through window and were possibly intoxicated, an officer located the truck and initiated a traffic stop.
The officer then learned that Campbell had been dropped off in the parking lot of the Lone Star Plaza in downtown Houston. The officer made contact with Campbell at that location, and determined he had been drinking.
––Laticia L. Wilson, 21, of 16708 Brushy Creek Road in Houston, was issued a citation for improper vehicle registration after an officer observed expired tags on the yellow Pontiac Sunfire Wilson was driving at about 1:20 p.m. on Bryan Street.
––Lewis F. Akins, 53, of 1601 Lone Star Drive in Houston, was arrested at his residence for having an active Texas County warrant for driving while revoked. Akins was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $50,000 bond.
––Dustin R. Odom, 26, of 508 Ozark St. in Houston, was arrested for having an active Osage Beach warrant for failure to appear.
An officer made the arrest at about 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot of a U.S. 63 convenience store after observing Odom riding a bicycle that was not equipped with a front-facing light, as is required by city ordinance. A routine computer check revealed the warrant.
Odom was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post required bond (amount not reported).
