Houston police are investigating the theft of several items from a U.S. 63 storage unit.

A Raymondville man faces charges after confronting a teenager and cursing at officers, police said.

Dale E. Southworth, 63, of 20431 Friendship Drive in Raymondville, was issued a citation for public peace disturbance after incidents at multiple locations in Houston on May 10, Houston police said.

Southworth had reportedly attempted more than once to speak to an 18-year-old male who is dating his son’s former girlfriend, confronting him in the parking lot of a U.S. 63 retail business and again at Lone Star Plaza downtown.

The reporting officer stated that Southworth had yelled at the teen and had also cursed at and acted belligerently toward more than one police officer who involved in the investigation.

The following are other matters recently dealt with by Houston police:

May 13

––Michael E. Suddeth, 22, of Northview Lane in Houston, was arrested for having an active Texas County warrant for stealing and second-degree burglary. An officer made the arrest at about 5:30 p.m. after observing Suddeth walking north on Oak Hill Drive and being aware of the warrant.

Suddeth was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $150,000 bond.

May 16

––Amanda M. Trimble, 23, of 417 W. Mill St., Apt. 9, in Houston, was issued four citations after a traffic incident at about 12:40 a.m. on Grand Avenue.

The investigating officer reported that he responded to a report that a black passenger car had struck a parked pickup and had then left the scene.

The officer later came across a black car driving down the middle of Spruce Street. The officer initiated a traffic stop, and observed extensive damage to the right front side of the vehicle and also smelled alcohol. Field sobriety tests were conducted.

Trimble was cited for DWI, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, failure to drive on the right side of the roadway and no insurance. She was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold period.

May 18

––Cathy J. Counts, 57, of Kaiser, was issued a citation for disobeying an electric traffic signal after running a red light at South Sam Houston Blvd. and Holder Drive at about 10:10 p.m.
