Sgt. Tim Ceplina of the Houston Police Department walks along West Highway 17 on Tuesday afternoon at a wreck scene.

A 60-year-old Success man was injured Tuesday afternoon when his trailer pulled by a truck began to sway.

Russell L. Garrison was driving a westbound 1997 Ford that went out of control, ran off the roadway and struck an embankment just west of Houston on Highway 17. The trailer was carrying fencing material.

Garrison was taken by ambulance with moderate injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital, said Tpr. Marty Wiseman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The truck was totaled, Wiseman said.

Members of the Texas County Rescue Squad, Houston Police Department and Missouri Department of Conservation also were on the scene.
