A woman from Licking was seriously injured in a crash Wednesday south of Success.

A 41-year-old Licking woman was seriously injured in a crash late Wednesday morning on Highway 17 about one mile south of Success.

Sgt. Jeff Kinder of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said a northbound 2006 Chevrolet truck driven by Nancy A. Calkins, 41, was forced to leave the roadway by another vehicle, struck an embankment and overturned.

Calkins, who was not wearing a seat belt,  was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. A passenger, Elizabeth A. Calkins, 5, was not injured.

The vehicle was totaled, Kinder said.
