Dean Aye

A Houston businessman has been named to the Missouri State Foster Care and Adoption Panel.

Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Dean Aye to the post. Aye owns the Pit Stop in Houston.

The board is charged with establishing procedures to review Missouri Children’s Division policies and providing written opinions and recommendations to change it; providing draft policy suggestions for improvements in foster care or adoption practices; and providing content for in-service training to be provided by the Children’s Division to foster and adoptive parents.

Aye has been a licensed foster/adoptive parent since 2008 and is the chairman of the 37th Circuit Chapter of the Missouri Foster and Adoption Association. The governor appointed Aye for a term ending May 31, 2014.
