––A man called to report a horse tied to a post on Longhollow Road.

An investigating officer made contact with the woman who owns the horse, and she stated the animal was a new purchase and she was trying to get it in shape. She was advised an officer would return in the future to check on the horse.

June 22

––An officer reported that on June 19 he had investigated a report from a 60-year-old Hartshorn woman who stated that tenants at her Dewitt Drive residence had stolen several items from her, including two calves and 17 round bales of hay with a total value of $1,280, as well as gold and silver coins of unknown value.

The woman reportedly stated she had served an eviction notice on the tenants, a 33-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man.

––A 55-year-old Licking man reported that three tires had been slashed on a car parked at his Shafer Road residence. There are no suspects.

––An officer reported that on June 18 he was dispatched to a Roby Road residence in Plato regarding a break-in.

The officer stated that a 35-year-old Plato man at the location said he had been looking after a home owned by his 42-year-old neighbor while she was out of town and had noticed that the window in the basement door had been broken out and a couch that had been pushed up against the door was moved.

The officer contacted the homeowner and gained permission to search it. He determined that a .22-caliber revolver and a .25-caliber semi-automatic pistol had apparently been stolen.

What appeared to be drops of blood were observed near the bathroom, and the heater in the home was found set at 90 degrees.
