Gerald Gordon Rightnowar, 81, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Mercy Hospital.
He was born July 4, 1930, at Midco, son of Clarence and Ethel Rightnowar. He and Rhoda Faye Sullivan were married June 1, 1950.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and checking his cows. He loved listening to his great-grandchildren play and talking to friends and family from the shade of his front porch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four children, Richard Rightnowar, Arnold Gordon Rightnowar, Marilyn Faye Sykes and Carol Sue Bell; a sister, Bonnie Buckner; and a brother, David Rightnowar.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rhoda of the home in Summersville; two brothers, Bill Rightnowar of House Springs and Don Rightnowar of Winona; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Friday, June 22, in Mount Zion Cemetery with the Rev. Chester Webster officiating. Services were under the direction of Bradford Funeral Home.
