A 70-year-old Bucyrus woman reported last week the disappearance of two rings worth an estimated $53,000.
The theft occurred May 27 and was reported June 4 to the Texas County Sheriff’s Department office. One of the rings was valued at $26,811 and the other at $26,650.
The woman stated that she had taken the rings off of her hand and placed them on the table before going outside to do yard work, and when she came back inside they were gone. She produced appraisal paperwork verifying the rings’ values.
There are no suspects.
