Intercounty Electric Cooperative will hold its 76th annual membership meeting today at the Licking city park.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and closes at noon.
A health fair — from Texas County Memorial Hospital — is available for $25. Other institutions will have booths: Texas County Health Department will provide blood pressure and heart health education. Missouri Lions Eye Research will have screenings for adult and children’s eye health. Three Rivers Hospice, Phelps County Regional Medical Center Organ Donor Program and Texas County Children’s Division will have booths.
Breakfast is available from Salem Green Forest 4-H for those fasting for the health fair.
Other events:
––A craft and business fair for shopping will be provided.
––A kids tent, featuring bicycle drawings, a coloring contest and pictures with a lineman in a bucket truck.
––Barbecue lunch begins at about 11:30 a.m. following the business meeting.
––The business meeting begins at 10 a.m.
––The Harpers, a bluegrass gospel group, will perform at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Prize drawings include a $600 electric credit at 9:45 a.m. An iPad will be awarded at 1 p.m. The entire back cover of the registration book received in the mail is required to pick up a gift and drawing ticket.
