A Licking man faces multiple charges after being arrested by the Licking Police Department following an incident Wednesday night at a U.S. 63 motel.
According to chief Scott Lindsey, officers responded to a call at 6:53 p.m. regarding a male who had broken into a room at the Scenic Rivers Inn and assaulted another male.
After interviewing the victim, officers located and arrested Robert Venker, 42, who had allegedly kicked in the door of the room and assaulted his 19-year-old brother. Venker was arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree property damage and third-degree domestic assault.
He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held for 24 hours pending the filing of any formal charges.
