The Missouri State Highway Patrol took a drunk driver to the Texas County Jail on Sunday morning.
Michael D. Smith, 25, of Springfield, was arrested on charges of DWI, having no valid license plates and insurance.
Smith was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was to be held for 12 hours, according to a report.
