Houston police cited a Houston man on two charges Saturday.

Trevor R.C. Twyford, 24, of 111 Sugar Maple Drive at Houston, was issued a pair of citations by the Houston Police Department after a traffic stop on east Main Street at about 1:50 a.m. Saturday.

An officer made the stop after observing the maroon GMC Sonoma Twyford was driving pass through the intersection of Main and Second streets without stopping.

After making contact with Twyford, the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. Twyford was cited for driving while intoxicated and failing to stop at a posted stop sign.

He was taken to the Texas County Jail for a six-hour hold period.

Also last week, Delores J. Rucker, 48, of 11096 Wye City Road at Success, was arrested June 13 for having an active Texas County warrant charging her with driving whole intoxicated – prior offender, driving while license revoked or suspended and no insurance. She was taken to the Texas County Jail where she was unable to post $25,000 bond.
