Sharon Elaine Pelate Lee, 50, died Sunday, June 10, 2012, at her home in Salem.

She was born Jan. 28, 1962, in East St. Louis, Ill., daughter of Robert Lee and Grace Louise Dempster Pelate. She and David Glen Lee were married Aug. 17.

She grew up and attended school in Mountain View. She worked several years as a certified nurses aide at Lake’s Residential Care in Houston.

Her favorite pastime was watching the Adventures of Old Christine on TV. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, Nevaeh, 5, and Brayden, three months.

She was preceded in two by her parents; infant twin sons, Robert and Emerson; an infant brother, Bobby Pelate; and three sisters, Evelyn Pelate, Gloria Bay and Carolyn Lawson.

Survivors include her husband, David; a daughter, Janice Voyles of Salem; a son, Joshua Lee of Salem; two grandchildren; six siblings, Ernie Pelate of Stockton, Calif., Deloris Martin of Eldorado, Ill., and Charley Pelate, Steve Pelate, Chris Pelate and Sue Barnes of Birch Tree; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

Memorial services were Friday, June 15, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Dement officiating.
