Employees of a state agency were the top fund-raisers during the recent Texas County Relay for Life, a tally shows.
Texas County Family Support Division/Children’s Division raised $7,520. Western Dairy at Cabool turned in $5,000. Houston Elementary School generated $4,906.
Top individual fund-raisers are: Carol Woods, $680; Barbara Pinkston, $370; and Sarah Jones, $368.
The event held in Houston’s Emmett Kelly Park raised nearly $34,000 for the American Cancer Society.
