A woman from Licking sustained moderate injuries in a crash Monday in Phelps County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Authorities said Wendy L. Sullins, 32, was traveling westbound at Highway K and ZZ when she fell asleep, her 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix crossed the centerline, went off the roadway and struck a tree.
Sullins, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla after the 6:40 a.m. accident, according to a report.
The car had extensive damage, according to a trooper.
