Anna Mae Mitchell, 89, died Monday, July 30, 2012, in Nixa.

She was born April 22, 1923, in Licking. She and John W. Mitchell were married Dec. 10, 1955.

She enjoyed sewing, painting, cooking, and entertaining at her home. She loved visiting nursing homes.

She was a devoted Christian and follower of Christ. She enjoyed sharing biblical advice with others.

She followed her husband’s career to St. Louis, Tulsa, Okla., Mesa, Ariz., and Seal Beach, Calif. After retirement, they moved to Springfield to be near her son, Bruce. They had a winter home in Mesa, Ariz., near their daughter, Marti.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Gifford officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Licking Cemetery.
