A Cabool man entered a guilty plea Monday in U.S. District Court. 

A Cabool entered a guilty plea Monday on charges he defrauded the U.S. Railroad Retirement Board of unemployment benefits when he had a job, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.

Alan J. Primanzon collected about $10,729 when he had law enforcement income from the cities of West Plains and Birch Tree, as well as Wright County in at least 2009, according to court document. He was laid off from his position as conductor in December 2008 and continued to receive benefits through Oct. 28, 2009.

Under the terms of a plea agreement, Primanzon is not to work in any law enforcement position, would receive five years of probation, serve 90 days in jail and pay any supervision and incarceration expenses, according to court documents.
