Carol Ruth Benson, 74, daughter of James and Valeria (Walters) Reynolds, was born July 20, 1937, in Bonnieville, Ky. She passed away July 12, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mack Benson; and one son, Timothy.
Carol is survived by seven children, Dusty Benson and wife, Melissa, of Boiling Springs, Mo., David Lewis and wife, Gene, of Louisville, Ky., Penny Cavaness and husband, Danny, of Success, Mo., Spring Sutton of Springfield, Mo., Cindy Herring of Hannibal, Mo., Cathy Delp and husband, Chad, of Cabool, Mo., and Patricia Qualls of Gibsonton, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She loved spending time with and spoiling all her grandkids, gardening and flowers. Carol also loved spending time with her family at Boiling Springs.
Carol will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family hosted a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at the home of Penny and Danny Cavaness in Success, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the Carol Benson Memorial Fund c/o of Evans Funeral Home.
