Texas County will sell several tracts of property on the steps of the county administrative center because the owners failed to pay their taxes.
The land tax sale is 10 a.m. Aug. 27.
In a public notice in this week’s Herald, the entity is selling 34 pieces of property.
Notices were earlier sent to those who hadn’t paid property taxes for the last three years.
Upon the sale of the property, the previous owner has one year to redeem the property or it is transferred to those purchasing it.
Editor’s note: The total reflected in this story was reduced by two properties after those individuals paid their taxes after this story was posted.
