The following are matters dealt with last week by the sheriff’s department:
June 27
––An officer reported June 26 a 37-year-old Mountain Grove man had reported that a culvert valued at $300 had been stolen from his Little Creek Road property.
The officer located the culvert at a Mountain Grove salvage yard. Three suspects were located and issued citations for stealing less than $500. Cited were Dustin D. Turner, 29, of 8605 Highway 95 in Mountain Grove; Amber D. Holt, 21, of 8505 Highway 95 in Mountain Grove; and Dale L. Dalton, 17, of 9189 Highway 95 in Mountain Grove.
June 28
––An officer responded at about 12:20 a.m. to a U.S. 63 trailer park regarding a report of a domestic disturbance.
A woman told the officer that her brother had pushed her down and hit her in the side. She stated she didn’t want to press charges.
––A 70-year-old Houston man reported that numerous items with a total value of $1,570 had been stolen from a Hogan Road rental property he owns.
The man stated that swiped goods included clothing, farm equipment, electronics, tools, boating equipment, jewelry and more.
Neighbors reportedly provided a description of a vehicle seen at the location.
There are no suspects.
June 29
––A 56-year-old Cabool man reported that tools and a lawn mower with a total value of $190 had been stolen from his Russell Drive residence.
The man stated that his nephew might have swiped them.
––A 34-year-old Cabool man came to the TCSD office to report that his soon-to-be ex-wife had come to his Highway M residence with her parents and taken items without his permission.
The man was advised that it was OK for her to come to the residence since he and she were still married, and he would need to contact an attorney about the items that were allegedly taken.
June 30
––Deputies were dispatched at about 6:25 p.m. to the Boiling Springs access on the Big Piney River regarding a fight in progress.
The participants were gone when the officers arrived.
––Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a U.S. 63 trailer court. Upon arrival, the officers determined that the incident was regarding an unwanted person at the location.
Officers made contact with the person, who was advised to leave and not return.
––Deputies were dispatched at about 12:40 a.m. to a Country Aire Lane trailer park in Cabool regarding an unwanted person at the location.
The officers made contact with the male subject, who was intoxicated and had nowhere else to go. He was taken to the Texas County Jail for safekeeping.
––Deputies were dispatched at about 2 a.m. to a Highway CC residence at Licking regarding a woman who was acting erratically. When the officers arrived, the woman had run into nearby woods and attempts to find her were unsuccessful.
––A 74-year-old Cabool man reported that a Ruger pistol had been stolen from his Nevill Road residence.
The man stated that his 24-year-old daughter had swiped it and tried to pawn it the previous day. The officer contacted the woman at her apartment, seized the gun, and returned it to its owner.
A report of the incident was to be sent to the county prosecutor.
July 2
An officer reported that on June 28 he had investigated a report of a burglary at a Mill Street residence in Raymondville.
The 72-year-old woman who owns the property stated that several items that would have scrap metal value had been swiped, including a propane stove, a stainless steel sink, a white range and a metal desk. The total value of the items was $700.
Entry was gained through a back door. Neighbors were spoken to and area scrap yards were contacted, but no leads were obtained.
The investigation continues.
