Samuel Hendricks and Nora Dixon were named the most valuable swimmers of the 2012 Houston swimming team last weekend.
The team –– under the direction of coach Toni McKinney –– celebrated the conclusion of the season with a swim party and awards ceremony.
McKinney recognized the high-point swimmers in each age category. Those swimmers accumulated the most individual points for the team this season. They were:
––Kasey Richards and Ebin Smith, eight-and-under.
––Madyson Tune and Joshua Stell, ages 9-10.
––Sydney Anderson, Paydon Dixon and Logan Pacheco, ages 11-12.
––Nora Dixon and Caleb Adkison, ages 13-14.
––Nicky Craig and Sameul Hendricks, ages 15-16.
––Lacon Smith and Braden McKnight, ages 17-25.
––Lori Leichliter and Jason Arnold, ages 26-39.
––Gail Hayes and Jamie Albrecht, ages 40-and-over.
McKinney recognized several swimmers for team awards as well. They were:
––Most improved swimmer: Hannah Dzurick, Hunter McKinney, Madisonn Graeff, Cheyanne Schock, Darby Bell and Lance Smith.
––One hundred percent award: Korbyn Tune, Hailey Hoyle, Dalton Dzurick, Abby Dzurick and Ethan Hoyle.
––Best attitude: Casey Merckling, Kellsi Gayer, John Shriver, Jaycee Huff, Kaytlyn Huff and Barry Schock.
