Texas County Memorial Hospital board members heard at the June 26 monthly meeting that the new construction and related renovation of the hospital will be completed Aug. 24, 2013.

Wes Murray, chief executive officer at TCMH, explained that many portions of the new construction are being done simultaneously right now — stud walls, brick laying, concrete pouring, electrical and plumbing are just some parts of the project being worked on by subcontractors each day.

“JE Dunn has done a phenomenal job working with the many subcontractors to make sure that we are maximizing the ability to complete the project,” Murray said, noting that 15 to 25 construction workers may be working on site at one time.

According to Murray, the new construction will soon be enclosed and much of the work will not be visible to the public in the upcoming weeks.

“We will keep the blog about the project going to continue to provide updates for everyone,” Murray said.

Board members were invited to tour the construction site following the board meeting.
