A Licking man faces several charges for his role in a set of physically violent incidents Wednesday night.
At approximately 8:34 p.m., the Licking Police Department received a report of an assault at a residence on Old Salem Road. A 35-year-old woman told investigators that a male friend had exposed himself to her, urinated on her, and punched her in the face. A 24-year-old man who attempted to intervene in the altercation stated the man had also hit him in the face.
Residents at the location said the suspect had also punched a hole in the wall and knocked a screen out of a door.
The suspect, Shawn D. Sharp, 21, of Licking, was located walking in the area. Sharp was arrested on charges of second-degree domestic assault, third-degree domestic assault, second-degree sexual misconduct and second-degree property damage.
As he was being transported to the Texas County Jail, Sharp became combative and violent toward the arresting officers, and subsequently faces additional charges of two counts of third-degree assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
Sharp was incarcerated on a 24-hour hold pending the formal filing of any charges.
