Licking police late Sunday night apprehended a man wanted on drug charges in Arizona.
An officer on patrol observed two people walking on South Main Street at about 11:45 p.m. The officer made contact with them and obtained identification.
A computer check revealed that one of the two was Shawn D. Sharp, 21, of Licking, who had a felony arrest warrant from Maricopa County, Ariz. charging him with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sharp was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail pending extradition proceedings.
