A Houston man gained the attention of the Houston Police Department on several occasions last week and has multiple citations to show for it.
James R. Olson, 24, of 8205 Northview Lane in Houston, was issued two citations for stealing under $500 after police said he was caught attempting to shoplift from the Houston Walmart on separate incidents on Monday and Tuesday. He was ticketed again on Sunday, receiving citations for driving without a license and failure to register a motor vehicle after an officer observed him driving a red Pontiac Grand Prix with no license plates on Walnut Street at about 4:30 p.m.
Olson was on parole, and his probation officer was to be contacted.
According to the police report about the shoplifting, Olson lives at Lot 16 in the Northview Lane trailer court. According to the report about the driving infractions, he lives at Lot 33.
An accomplice in the Walmart crimes – Roger C. Blanks, 19, of 8205 Northview Lane, Lot 16 – also received two citations on stealing charges.
