A 75-year-old Raymondville man was seriously injured Monday when a deer struck his motorcycle east of his hometown.
Tpr. Terry Nelson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said the 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle was westbound on Highway B when the crash occurred. The motorcycle driven by Phillip C. Whitman ran off the right side of the road and struck a culvert.
Phillips, who was wearing a helmet, was flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
The wreck marked the second day in a row that a motorcycle struck a deer in the county.
